What things do I REALLY need to know if I'm thinking of start a new retail business with my friend?
A friend and myself were considering starting our own business selling American Football products relating to all the NFL teams and also playing equipment as an added bonus. We thought this would be a good idea because there is no where like this that we know of, in the North of England at least, and as we have just started playing the sport too and found it difficult to get hold of good quality equipment affordably. We would like to make all the products available on line too but don’t really know how we’d go about starting up, finding premises, insurance, stock and staff and all the rest. I have to distance myself from my friends?
I hate to say this: but I need to get away from my "friends." This is difficult, since I hardly have any friends at college. I have social anxiety disorder along with depression so it’s difficult for me to socialize.
I was so proud of myself for making friends that I overlooked the fact that they’re not very good to me. I live with them this year. They ditch me quite often and don’t invite me along with them. I’m not the greatest student; most of my roommates are. They’ll often crack jokes about it implying I’m an idiot. I can’t have a conversation with them without them criticizing or making fun of what I said. Or else they’ll interupt me or change the subject mid-conversation.
